A couple years ago, my sister and I adopted a stray cat who had borne kittens in a storage yard a couple doors down from us. Or maybe she adopted us. Most likely the latter — our Pearl formed a plan to get herself and her kittens indoors before the rainy season started and it worked like a charm.
